Christmas Cards

Tracy from Tracy's Happy Place has put out a Challenge for Christmas Cards.

This month will be a different Challenge in that it is going to be a Theme Challenge. I know it is August, but I am starting to think about my Christmas cards...that's right, I said Christmas. For this month I want to see your best Christmas creation using one of your favorite or newest Christmas stamps! It can be anything...card, tag, 3d item...whatever you like, but it must be a Christmas creation.

I have made these samples for a "Paper Challenged" Card Class for my friends, one of the sets I used is my new little snowman set, and the other an old CTMH Tree Set, sorry don't know the name of each but love these stamps and will be using them again when I make my two other paper challenged friends their Christmas Cards. I make them about 10 cards each to mail out for Christmas, I so enjoy making cards and they really appreciate them and since they won't be attending this year's class I will be making theirs. Last year I put together some Christmas cards for friends of mine to make. Now let me state that I did everything, stamped the image, cut the ribbon, cut the paper cut the layers to be used - EVERYTHING. The only thing that needed to be done was, glue it together and oh, yes they had to cut out a couple of flowers. Well it took them about 2 hours, now remember everything was done for them they just had to glue, I never laughed so hard, once they finished I gave them an even bigger challenge. I brought two sentiment stamps to choose from to use inside the card, this took another hour of sweaty palms and furrowed brows. Again more laughter, the funniest was that one of them, not to be named to protect the quilty, glued the card upside down. Two of these individuals were at my home this past weekend and still protest that it was the wine, but after the box card tutorial fiasco, they can no longer blame the wine.

These are the cards that we will be doing this year I cut the number down to 5, think 10 was too much; think of me Labor Day weekend and say a small prayer, that is when they will be assembling the cards. As you can see in the second photo everything has been done for them.
