JEN'S SEPTEMBER ALOHA RAK

Ok was a little confused before but got it straight now. Tracy from Tracy's Happy Place had my name in this month's RAK, what wonderful goodies she sent, love the buckles and brads and thin ribbon lots of goodies to "kick up" my fall cards, so exciting. Thank you Tracy for the lovely card it is beautiful, love the bling, paper and colors.

I know that I posted that I received my Aloha RAK earlier but I was confused it was not my Aloha RAK that I received, please forgive me, it has been a crazy month. You know that we have two cats, well my old man, Hemingway, got sick the beginning of the month, I noticed he was loosing weight, off to the Vet, he has Kidney disease, comes with the age, but he spent a couple of days in the hospital on IV, he came home and I noticed Tiger was looking kind of thin and not acting himself, knew there was an issue when I opened a can of tuna fish and he had no interest. OK, another Vet visit, they thought Tiger had pancreatitis(sp) so he spent a couple of days at the Vet's on IV and being forced fed, there are only a few labs in the United States that do this testing so the blood work was sent out, after a couple of days I took him home and he was forced fed at home. Well the little so and so, after about two days at home he threw up (sorry but he did) a piece of string that was about 20 inches long ( we had to help him get it out) with a gigantic hair ball in the middle of it, and he began to bounce back. That is the short story and now the Vet is able to add a wing to his practice, thanks to my credit card and cats. Hemingway is on daily medicine and is doing good and Tiger is back to his old self, so why shouldn't I have an issue. Thought I had developed an allergy to Gluten as I was experiencing all the symptoms so went to the doctor, just so he could confirm and prescribe medication, silly me, forgot to check the internet first, there is no medication for this, it is called Celiac's disease and you just live with it and change your diet. He though I should have a test so had that fun endoscopy last week and they ruled out Celiac's disease, so waiting on the results of some other tests and we go forward from here. All I can say is Thank God tomorrow is October, September 2007 was not a healthy month.

Sorry about my long rant, everyone is doing fine, Hemingway is sitting next to me on his computer chair as I type, we are all looking forward to October 1st, enjoy the rest of the weekend.

It will get better for you, Florence. Darn cats, they sure know how to get into things. Make the cat get a job to pay you back for the vet visits, LOL.

You got a wonderful RAK! I loved spoiling my partner as well!

So happy to hear your cats are going to be fine. It's always scary when we don't know what is wrong with a pet. It's not like a kid that can TELL us...ugh

Hope your test results come back okay too. I have a friend that has Celiac's disease and he just has to be real careful what he eats. Diet works for him.

Hope you enjoyed your time away this weekend.
