I AM ROBOT

OK, family talks, you know how that is. So when one niece found out about the cards I made for the other niece, not by reading my blog, but by talking to each other, how DARE THEY. I received an order from her for Birthday Cards, lots and lots of Birthday cards, she must send out about 100 a year between family and friends, having two kids adds to it, so I am busy once again doing cards for the family, can't complain though I love them and heck maybe when I am old they will come and visit me in the nursing home, LOL.

I really like how this card turned out. I colored in the robot with my metallic prismacolor pencils and then went over the colors with a sakura sparkle pen, you know the ones you get at Michael's for around $1.50. I bought a pack of DCWV metallic paper about 8 months ago and have only used it once. Can you believe when I reached for it (the pack has 48 sheets, in my defense it is a 6x6 pack) my palms started to sweat and my mind started racing are you sure you want to use this paper, OMG, I must get over this hoarding thing. I embossed the sentiment and used an eyelet to attach on this one. IRL the Robot is all sparkle and the metallic paper is great. Well she now has two of these cards in her pile and will show you the ones I did using airplanes. I am having so much fun, but do want to get started on some RAK cards. Have a great day.

That robot is a cutie. Flo, I have that DCWV metallic paper, too and I have not used ONE sheet of it yet! You are not alone in your addiction. God forbid we should use something, we never would be able to replace it! I am trying really hard this year not to hoard anything. Maybe I'll take it out for a spin this weekend!

Great cards! I totally understand the hoarding and the apprehension in using nice paper; I go through it on a daily basis.

The cards are too cute. And I totally understand about: 1) hoarding and 2) metallic paper just NOT photographing well. My last card with metallic paper looks slate grey. So, I KNOW your cards look even better IRL

I love your little robot guy. Great idea to add the sparkle and the metallic paper! I can relate to the paper hoarding ... but it's so worth using for just the right project -- which this one surely is! Great job!

I totally struggle with 'boy' cards so I am loving these Flossie, think I have an aversion to creating for boys (apart from scrap pages of DG) cos I can't use my blooms and PINK lol. DG would go nuts if I made him a card with 'girl' colours but I love him enough to make the odd BOY card just for him :D
