Beate Sketch Challenge and DCM Color Dare

Well I have finally finished the cards for the other niece, she basically just wanted Birthday Cards but I also did a few Easter Cards. I have done 89 cards, 89 envelopes and stamped 96 Sentiments, wanted to give her a little choice, LOL. They are now all boxed and packaged and ready to go to the Post Office tomorrow. I will be sharing them with you over the next few weeks or maybe even months. Now that I am done I can play and I have so missed Beate's and DCM challenges and dares, so I managed to combine the two with this card. The sketch is for Beate's challenge and DCM put out a DARE for a Red and White card. This also completes my Valentine Cards that I needed to make to send to family and friends, I will try and post one a day until the 14th. Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. I tried to go to IKEA on Sunday, it opened up by me around November 2oo7, but was so busy and crazy you had to park about 4 miles away and then wait for a bus to take you to the store, not for me, well if it was Archivers I could understand, we all have our priorities in life. Well on Sunday the line to get into the Parking Lot was about a mile long, so we turned around and my SIL and I went out to lunch, it was fun, maybe one night during the week I will try it again.

Hope Everyone had a great weekend, have a Marvelous Monday.

Nice card flossie! I know what you mean about IKEA, when it opened here I waited for about 3 months before attempting & I now I always go during the week, less people. Good luck!

I guess the novelty has yet to wear off! IKEA does have great storage solutions and containers for crafting supplies, cool jars and such for ribbon that is loose. Your card is very nice! I love the texture you used! Have a great week! Hugs! Deb

Great card Flo! I especially love the bling and the check background.

I want to go to IKEA sometime in my life but I don't do crowds so hopefully I can find a long time store in my travels.

LOVE the card!...is the "grid"mark on the side paper or did you draw that?....and, my math has never been my strong suit...how'd you get 89 cards & envelopes...and 96 sentiments???...are they changeable?...if so..what a GREAT idea!
Did they open the IKEA at Sawgrass??...IS there ANY MORE sawgrass left?

Oh my goodness. That's a lot of cards. Crazy about Ikea.

We always had one close by when I grew up in Germany. But their parking lot was always full.

Your card for the challenges look great. Love how you combined the challenges.

Wonderful card! Love the glitter!

We've had an IKEA here for as long as I can remember and it's always a full parking lot but inside isn't too bad....sometimes the line ups are a killer though! lol

Phew! Now the cards are done, and you can play for "Flo" again! I love what you posted today.
We finally got to Ikea in December when we went to Orlando, it was a week day and not too crowded. Is that the one near you, or is it Sunrise? I had so much fun, it's a two and a half hour drive, though, not like we can just get in the car and go. Tampa is getting one in 2009, that would be closer for us. I  Ikea.

Well, it seems that IKEA is the same worldwide. I go there with my sister (more than shopping, a pilgrimage... LOL) on Monday morning, when I'm off duty.
You've been really busy, girl! I love your white/red card, can I copy it?

Love all the different textures you have going on here, great card!

IKEA may be good but it's not THAT good! Maybe try during the week if you can, it's always quieter here during the week than at weekends.
